The FENS (FAA Enterprise Network Services) program is aiming at modernizing the FAA network and information management systems. It will replace the existing FAA Telecommunication and SWIM Contracts. The FENS Program Manager will lead the FENS pursuit, which is strategic for IMS future. The role requires continuous interaction with industry partners to position us for winning. As a Value Stream Leader (VSL), the FENS Program Manager has the responsibility to successfully coordinate the Integrated Project Team including Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Contracts and Legal. The role will report to the FAA & Government Solutions Director.
Lead the FENS pursuit for Collins IMS and provide strategic recommendations to win the FENS pursuit with the expected content to position IMS for the future. This includes working with matrixed functional teams for strategy development, solution design, cost/pricing, and partner support.
The role will then continue as the Program Manager responsible for the successful execution of the program; this will include program execution to specified FAA and partner metrics, as well as profit and loss management for IMS
The FENS Program Manager will support other FAA contracts, and strategic government pursuits as identified by the FAA & Government Solutions Director
The role will closely collaborate with the peers in charge of the IMS Network Services and other shared services organizations
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 10 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 7 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required.
Typically requires BS/BA degree in financial, management and/or technical related discipline.
Demonstrable relevant industry knowledge and experience in the field of Aviation Communications and Services
Demonstrate multi-year experience working in/with FAA or Government programs
Experience with strategy development and execution
Excellent customer oriented attitude
Strong organizational, communication (written and verbal) and administrative skills
Strong interpersonal and people matrix management skills
Strong Business acumen coupled with the capability of analyzing financial statements and strong P&L management
Possesses strong strategic, critical and problem-solving thinking
