ARINC Direct provides best-in-class flight-support and international-handling services for business jets. We have a 24x7 call center, staffed with qualified pilots and dispatchers, but make 100% of our functionality available over the web. Our sophisticated automation is the main reason our business is successful.
Work in a consensus driven, collaborative development environment. Present recommend code and/or architectural changes respectively as required to peers and developers. Assess priority and impact, and effectively communicate the expected value of the change or changes.
Understand the opportunities afforded by partner integrations, the current state of the art, and future business growth to recommend system and software changes and technology choices.
Understand the existing code base, including the business rules and architectural decisions that have been applied to date.
Provide architectural leadership towards data, design and system improvements
Possess and or very quickly develop hands-on familiarity with the code base
Explore new system and software development technologies and potential applicability to improve our system and customer experience.
Explore potential efficiency improvement in software development process as needed.
- This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 7 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required.
Experience with one or more of the following: (listed in order of preference)
Architecture requirements in an Agile environment
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong Object-Oriented Skills
Web Services like SOAP and REST
Messaging Aircraft via ACARS
Web Application Development
SQL and Database Schemas
Automated test frameworks
Software deployment in a Linux environment
MVC Web Services Design, Container experience, Responsive Web Design, Modern Web Frameworks, Message Queuing Systems, Geospatial data, PostgreSQL, High Availability, Object Relational Mapper
Thirteen(13) plus years of experience with Python.
Thirteen(13) or more years of object-oriented software design and development.
Master’s degree in related field (computer science, electrical engineering) or equivalent years of experience.
