The Goodrich Hoist and Winch division of UTC Aerospace Systems produces both level wind and translating drum cable management systems used around the world for critical rescue missions by the U.S. and international armed and paramilitary forces, law enforcement, and homeland security. Our rescue hoists have field-proven success in high demand, extreme environment missions, and have been instrumental in saving lives in worldwide disaster relief efforts. Goodrich Hoist and Winch has a continuous operating history of over 140 years since our beginnings as Western Gear Corporation.
Hoist & Winch’s New Product Introduction (NPI) and Strategic Sourcing Associate will assist Purchasing and NPI teams in accelerating ongoing projects and supplier transitions. The individual reports to the Supply Chain Manager who is accountable for strategic sourcing, cost reduction, tactical procurement, and NPI purchasing. The Associate is an action-focused individual who is comfortable working with the teams and executing assigned activities.
Assist the strategic sourcing team with transition tasks including:
Preparing RFQ packages, conduct feedback analyses, prepare negotiation workbook, draft agreements, and control transition documentation.
Assist NPI team with sourcing development tasks including:
Potential supplier RFQ package.
Pull drawings, verify Xclass, Texport data, and RFQ tracking.
Assist strategic sourcing with monthly reporting tasks including:
Gather and organize relevant data. Work with Strategic Sourcing Lead on organizing monthly reporting deck.
Assist Purchasing team with assigned tasks as needed.
The candidate will have 2+ years of related experience
Familiarity with MS-Office Suite applications
Work experience in office environment
Industrial ERP system experience a plus
US Citizenship is required.
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
Strong planning and organizational skills, adapts to evolving priorities and assignments and while executing in a timely manner
Positive individual contributor with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Exposure to ERP systems, SAP is preferred
Enrolled in full time studies at College or University
