This position is for a professional typically viewed as subject matter expert in Industrial Engineering. Works to achieve day-to-day objectives and may manage moderately sized projects and processes Provides input into the development of operational plans for the effective utilization of equipment and material resources. Responsible for significant improvements of processes and systems to enhance Industrial Engineering performance.
Applies in depth knowledge in analytic methods or tools to understand, predict, or control logistics or processes.
Compiles operational data, develops cost or time estimates, schedules, or specifications to support the most efficient sequence of operations and work flow.
Prepares management reports to define and evaluate problems and recommend solutions.
Works closely with workers engaged in product development, measurement, inspection, and some testing activities to ensure quality control and reliability.
Establishes the physical layout of machinery and the most efficient sequence of operations and work flow.
Performs research involving layout, building/repairing and modification of product, new technologies, machine optimization, tooling/fixturing materials and designs, and various other functions.
Conduct studies pertaining to cost, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
May assist facilities engineers (planning and design of facilities).
Participate in peer reviews for product design and recommend design changes.
Develop/Maintain a PFMEA for new product introductions.
Support ES&H, Quality, and certification audits and help develop solutions to findings.
Ownership of assigned processes within the IPT. [Hardware Inventory Management, Post Coat, Solder Pot, etc.]
Industrial Engineering degree preferred.
Lean Manufacturing experience
New Product Introduction experience
Experience with PFMEA
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in STEM degree and 7 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required.
U.S. Citizenship is required for this role. Must have the ability to obtain Security Clearance.
