Role Overview

Are you passionate about creating new avenues to share knowledge across the enterprise? Does providing different channels to connect expertise excite you? This position is in Talent & discipline management team for a project management professional with primary responsibility to lead knowledge management program. This will include conceptualizing programs, driving alignment, planning communications, driving execution of roll-out and continuous support and improvement. The selected individual will identify collaboration tools/techniques that will enable to break organizational barriers allowing knowledge to flow seamlessly. This position will enable rolling out and following through the initiatives that enable sharing lessons learned, locate and connect with experts in various fields globally and build powerful networks for knowledge sharing.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead of developing Knowledge Management programs and supporting existing ones

  • Responsible for ideating new solutions for seamless knowledge transfer and use influence to drive alignment with various stakeholders

  • Owns and executes communication plans for roll out of key initiatives

  • Keen propensity for continuous improvement of the existing solutions

  • Responsible for overseeing and supporting the knowledge sharing collaboration tools

  • Collaborate with the team to develop a knowledge management strategy

Basic Qualifications:


  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 7 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding and experience of change management techniques

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation and facilitation skills to a wide variety of audiences

  • Strong project management skills

  • Drive to share best practices and partner with organizations inside and outside of Collins Aerospace

  • Ability to facilitate and present to various audiences up to and including executive leaders

  • Strong focus on ethics, trust and building relationships

  • Ability to address risks and challenges in a timely manner

  • Ability to work well within teams, as well as work autonomously

  • Understanding of basic Knowledge Management principles (transfer of best practices, building communities, knowledge sharing practices etc.)

  • Prosci Certified and able to apply change management techniques and tools when needed

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with a high degree of professionalism

  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and email

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
