Digital Operations Planning & Inventory SAP Support – A support team of first line and hands on Planning & Inventory SAP business analysts within the Digital Operations organization. Responsible for resolving complex business problems related to the Collins Operations SAP sites associated with Planning & Inventory processes, practices and performance. Provide first line and direct support to the Global Operations sites.
This role will be primarily responsible for providing support to Collins Operations sites on the Planning & Inventory functionality in SAP APO & ECC modules along with other associated support systems (Solumina, XPS/GTS, Autotime, SAP Add-on tools, etc.). A thorough knowledge of operations processes around planning, materials management principles and processes, production execution and scheduling, inventory management, quality and supply & demand is required. There are no direct reports.
Travel required – Approx. 25%
Remote option available to qualifying candidate.
Answer day to day SAP inquiries as the direct SAP Support POC to the Global Operations sites.
Support SAP Security access processes, audits and approvals for Global Operations sites and other Central functional groups.
Participate in SAP enhancements, service pack upgrades, dependent projects and supporting systems through requirements, design, test script development, testing and activation. Perform system regression testing for new releases or upgrades to SAP.
Improve SAP utilization & effectiveness across all Operations value streams. Work with Central Materials, SBUs and the Operations sites in the development of day to day business processes and standard work, policies and procedures driving consistency and standardization across Collins Operations.
Analyze complex SAP business problems and develop solutions within SAP using available tools and technologies.
Provide internal training and technical assistance as required to develop new and existing Super Users within each Operations site and value stream.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 7 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required.
Bachelor's degree in Materials Management, Business, Information Technology, or related field.
This position requires 5+ years of experience using SAP/ERP in Manufacturing and Materials Planning, Planning & Inventory, related SAP/ERP role or equivalent years of experience within a targeted SAP/ERP module (ECC).
Our team supports Operations sites from Asia to Arizona with Business Unit customers throughout. Travel to these sites and Business Units is required. Must have a strong, demonstrated commitment to customer service and be committed to pro-active review of processes and procedures to continually enhance SAP service quality, service delivery and support.
Must be deadline and project-oriented with strong organizational skills, in addition to having the ability to multi-task, and work independently.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
SAP GUI scripting and VBA programming knowledge preferred.
Report writing via Teradata or Business Warehouse also a plus.
