Collins Aerospace is looking to hire a Sr. Manager, Business Development to help expand its military programs portfolio including new technologies and customers. This position will focus on bringing these technologies to new and existing Fixed Wing and Helicopter platforms. Responsibilities will include market assessment and aligning our technologies with customer requirements in support of Aerostructures military strategic plan.
Works both independently and with designated teams to identify opportunities aligned with the company’s strategic goals leading to the capture of new programs.
Develops tactical plans in support of business development strategies.
Identifies bid opportunities, coordinates responses with team, negotiates with potential large/complex customers
Acts as the primary contact with the highly visible and/or strategic prospects, establishes personal long term relationships with customers, develops a professional relationship with the purpose of understanding and meeting the customer needs
Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR
Advance degree and 7 years of relevant experience OR
In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required
Experience with Design / Development of aircraft Flight Control Surfaces
Military flight experience or Depot Maintenance Management
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Ability to travel up to 30%
Experience with US government (military) contracting procedures
Experience developing and presenting proposals
Understanding of US military procurement planning cycles
Knowledge of existing military programs and personnel
