Collins Aerospace is looking for a Staff Project Engineer, Aftermarket to support Business Jet programs for Aftermarket Technical Services (AMTS). You will manage product support requirements, deliverables, customer and supplier expectations. You will also be responsible for delivering best in class service levels. You will be required to use your expertise in customer support, project management, and nacelle product knowledge. In addition, you will leverage your strong interpersonal skills to work successfully in a cross-functional, multi-matrix organization to execute a program from inception through completion.
Represents Collins Aerospace as the Project Engineering Lead for Aftermarket Business Jet programs.
Develops project plans, schedules, and maintains budgets for Aftermarket Business Jet programs to ensure adherence to project plans, schedule, and budget.
Records and documents delay, changes in scope, and any other incidents that impact the scope of work or schedule to ensure smooth program performance.
Performs critical path analysis and prepares and implements work-around plans to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Conducts meetings, consolidates, and presents plans and progress reports relating to Aftermarket Business Jet Programs.
Monitors and assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet or exceed customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Facilitates work within Aftermarket departments that are supporting deliverables for Business Jet Programs.
Experience & Qualifications
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of relevant experience OR
Advanced degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR
In absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required
Project Engineering professional with ability to work with minimal guidance
Ability to develop, track and report on multi-disciplinary project schedules (schedule, resources, budget/cost)
Ability to identify and escalates project problems and support resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects
Ability to identify and mitigate Risks to minimize impact to schedule, business plan, and quality
Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with other functional organizations
Experience with presentations to internal and external customers
Good understanding of design (structures & systems)
Analytical problem-solving skills, motivated & team orientated
Strong written & verbal communication skills
Understanding of and experience with Continuous Improvement activities preferred
Supplier management experience
Nacelle systems familiarity
CATIA V5 familiarity
MS Project experience strongly preferred
Working knowledge Aftermarket support manuals, basic materials and processes.
Aftermarket skills to understand define scope and process map future needs for program maintainability, support, and maturity
Holds proven track record of successfully executing a program from inception through completion.
