  • Provide global leadership for the procure to pay process used by mechanics, supervisors, and office buyers at Otis. Understand, consolidate, and rationalize local variations in the processes, tool sets, and requirements to establish a global model. Then, within the global model, define best practices, standard operating procedures, and key process indicators (KPIs) that drive efficiency, visibility, and compliance.

  • Join the Otis field requisition system (FRS) program management office, and deploy the field purchasing global model to Otis field organizations around the world using the global tool set. Ensure the best practices, standard operating procedures, process requirements and business case KPIs are achieved at the site, region, and overall global level. Establish and own the process for enhancing the global model based on new/updated Otis requirements and FRS tool product roadmap enhancements. Provide support to local, regional, and WHQ cross functional Otis teams and outsource partners, to achieve daily, weekly, monthly, and annual FRS plans and targets.

  • Using historical spend data, local / regional requirements, and an understanding of the supply base, define supplier strategies that will a.) provide the right parts and services at the right price to the Otis field organization, with availability when needed; b.) increase field spend under management / supply chain oversight; and c.) reduce the ad-hoc/one time/small spend supply base. Engage suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, and formalize pricing through the establishment of e-procurement catalogs and standard legal contracts.

  • Define requirements around field purchasing master data including items, suppliers, and commodity codes that will enable the global model. Develop strategy to manage these requirements through collaboration and alignment with Otis data strategy and analytics experts.

  • In all areas of responsibility, the incumbent is responsible for providing full compliance with the "UTC Policy Statement on Contracting with the United States Government" and the "UTC Code of Ethics".

EDUCATION: MA/MS degree with 7+ years’ experience; BA/BS degree with 10+ years’ experience


  • Experience leading a global supply chain management and/or cross functional team, directly or matrixed, including external partners, to achieve results in a timely manner. Aftermarket supply chain experience is highly desired.

  • Demonstrated experience operating and optimizing a supply chain to drive productivity, compliance, quality, and other key process indicators, in the following areas a.) the procure to pay business process (requisitions, purchase orders, approvals, invoicing) and b.) strategic sourcing (supplier strategy, negotiation, RFP/RFQ, should-cost, negotiating, contracting); Experience with supplier relationship management is a plus.

  • Experience in project management including identifying a plan, aligning resources, identifying and managing risks, and reporting to steering committees.

  • Demonstrated success using a structured change management methodology; driving new business processes and/or IT system implementations is highly desired.

  • Proven ability to exercise independent business judgment to drive strategy and achieve results.

  • Ability to lead detailed analysis of complex challenges, gathering data and information from both internal and external stakeholders, and defining solutions where success requires the evaluation of both tangible and intangible criteria.

  • Ability to adapt and excel in a dynamic global environment.

  • Strong communication and listening skills.

  • Experience with Oracle procurement cloud and JDE, or similar, is a strong plus.
