ROLE

We are seeking a motivated, organized self-starter to play an important role on our Otis World Headquarters Supply Chain Management team. As we move to become an independent Otis, there is a significant amount of work to be done. This is an exciting time to join our team and help shape Otis’ indirect sourcing strategy.

As an Associate Director leading our Fleet Services Category, you will design and enable execution of strategies to streamline and improve on our procurement and use of fleet services. You will collaborate to ensure consistent communication and application of strategic sourcing initiatives spanning numerous communities of expertise, including operations, field service, and supply chain management. You will be responsible for global program management and will partner with the broader operations community to ensure that programs are aligned with the strategic and operational goals of the business.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide strategic leadership and category oversight to maximize business value and results.

  • Operational and spend analysis, development and execution of annual sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, supplier performance management & operational support.

  • Lead the creation of clear global category strategies, in collaboration with each regional procurement and operations team, including the development and execution of savings within each category being managed.

  • Lead the Otis strategy to drive business results through global synergies, utilizing the Otis supply chain standard work & tools, collaborative sourcing strategies & joint supplier selection process while leading the regional teams to ensure robust participation.

  • Ability to provide leadership to drive global collaboration, project management, negotiation and execution are key requirements.

  • Share internal and external best practice across the Otis global and regional teams.

  • Maintain knowledge of industry and business best practices, and emerging technologies through benchmarking.

  • Incorporate these trends, when appropriate, into the category strategy and roadmap.

EDUCATION:

  • BA/BS degree with 10+ years’ experience.

  • MA/MS degree with 7+ years’ experience (preferred)

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS :

  • 10+ years’ experience in global supply chain management, or operations leadership.

  • 10+ years’ leading cross-functional teams.

  • 7+ years’ experience managing indirect spend categories.

  • Proven ability to exercise independent business judgment to drive strategy and results.

  • Proven ability to lead a global team to achieve results through leadership & influence.

  • Ability to excel in a dynamic environment. Ability to lead analysis and resolution of complex problems where success requires the evaluation of both tangible and intangible variables.
