Excellent opportunity for highly motivated individual to assume the Director of Financial Systems Center of Excellence (COE) role within the Controller’s organization. The organization offers opportunity to be part of a growing accounting department and develop global processes to sustain flexibility as the business needs change. Job responsibilities subject to change based upon alignment of processes within the organization.

Primary responsibilities include:

Lead the Financial Systems Center of Excellence. The COE will support technology solutions used by the Finance organization globally, as well as lead the deployment of Intelligent Automation software across Finance. This position will manage the entire COE team and will be responsible for leading the identification, evaluation, selection and implementation of new technologies in all Finance functional areas, in partnership with the Digital (IT) organization. It will also be responsible for enhancing existing applications and ongoing steady-state support and user support. This position will work closely with our customers, including Finance leadership across the Controllers, Shared Services, FP&A and Tax organizations, as well as the Digital (IT) organization.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate strategic direction of technology platforms for global Finance organization

  • Lead the Finance COE team by providing direction, guidance and oversight in its support and maintenance of technology platforms including Hyperion, BlackLine, Longview, Corptax, Sabrix, Blue Prism and AgilePoint

  • Coordinate with and train offshore team members in India

  • Facilitate identification, evaluation and selection of new technologies for Finance; provide project management for deployment of the software; assist in defining business requirements, enhancing and modifying the applications; use Agile methodology where possible

  • Maintain and cultivate relationships with software suppliers and implementation partners

  • Coordinate user support activities, including help desk support, user guides, training materials, and conduct and coordinate training sessions

  • Apply ACE tools including performing QCPC analysis to help find opportunities for process improvements, application of technology “standard methodologies”, and facilitating ACE events as needed

  • Partner with Carrier IT on ERP roadmap strategy

Education / Certifications:

  • B.S. in Accounting, Finance or business or related field

  • MBA a plus

Experience / Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of related experience working for a fast-paced organization

  • Accounting, Financial Reporting, Auditing and/or Financial Planning experience

  • Travel required 10% - 20% with potential for International

  • Strong leadership skills including the ability to recruit, motivate, evaluate and retain top talent

  • You should be a high performer with an ability to effectively lead small to mid-sized teams

  • You should possess excellent communication skills and executive presence and be able to interact and influence effectively across business units and functions

  • You have strong project management and facilitation skills, strong analytical skills, and high attention to detail
