The role will work for P&W Oklahoma City Purchasing Department.
The Purchasing Analyst position will support proposal activity for component repairs for various Military Engine Programs by compiling government compliant purchasing documentation.
This individual must support the departmental compliance to UTC Code of Ethics, P&W Procurement Manual, P&W Policies & Procedures and adherence to Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR’s & DFAR’s), federal and state laws.
Perform procurement functions on a daily basis such as; purchase order placement and modification, request for quote, cost analysis, price negotiation, problem solving, financial adjustments, metrics reporting/analysis and supplier management as required.
Candidate must have the ability to successfully interface with various internal departments and business units at all company levels. Close collaboration with the P&W Government Pricing Department and Defense Contracts Management Agency (DCMA).
This role will play a key role in the overall Supply Chain Management continuous improvement strategic goals.
Bachelor’s Degree in a Business related field
5+ years of purchasing experience, Aerospace or Manufacturing preferred
3+ years Microsoft Office suite is required
1+ years project management experience
US Citizenship required due to government contracts
The candidate must possess strong communication skills (written and oral) as well as demonstrated negotiation skills.
3+ years ERP, SAP preferred
2+ years analyzing and creating complex reports and metrics from SAP data
Experience with continuous improvement processes is desirable.
Knowledge of procurement in support of government contracts is desirable.
Additional Comments: Occasional travel required. This position will observe the Federal Holiday schedule.
