NBEC engineers have the ability to see the full life cycle of their work by stepping on to the manufacturing floor. This is unlike any other location at Pratt & Whitney. The ideal candidate will have strong fundamental engineering analysis skills and a hands-on understanding of manufacturing processes. Significant interaction with internal and external customers is expected; excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Typical responsibilities will include: task management, new hardware design and design improvements to existing hardware, build finite element models, perform analysis, and determine acceptability to criteria, working with, or leading, multidisciplinary teams to develop and produce new hardware, and executing engineering standard work.
Do you meet these Basic Qualifications?
U.S. Citizenship or Green Card is required for this position.
You're in an accredited undergraduate or graduate engineering degree program.
Fields of study:Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required
You will have at least 30 credits prior to starting your internship
You have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
How about any of these Preferred Qualifications?
Exceptional interpersonal skills and consistent record of collaboration, flexibility, innovation and initiative
Preferred candidates will have a good understanding of manufacturing processes, aerospace design methods and procedures, and continuous improvement tools.
1 year of Engineering coursework completed.
