At Collins, our Value Stream Managers plays a key role in helping us REDEFINE AEROSPACE. These leaders are the face of the company to our customers- supporting their needs at all phases in the program lifecycle. They provide strategic guidance across the entire value stream, developing the next generation of leadership at Collins.
The Value Stream Manager has direct accountability for program success during all phases of the lifecycle. They lead an Integrated Project Team (IPT) and ensure that all deliverables are met to the satisfaction of business leadership & the customer. The Value Steam Manager maintains authority and responsibility for budgets and P&L for programs with a total annual revenue valued up to $260M.
Liaise with customers in the assigned Value Stream.
Develop individual and group leaders through effective coaching, advising, and mentorship.
Partner with General Manager and IPTs to guide development of long-term business goals and objectives, to include designing and implementing the strategies and tactics, throughout the program lifecycle.
Lead efforts to design and implement desirable, reliable, and profitable solutions to meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations.
Drive team to meet or exceed customer quality, cost, and on-time requests.
Promote collaboration and partnership during all phases of the program lifecycle.
Develop and deliver reports to appropriate levels and leadership.
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 7 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 11 years of relevant experience is required.
Relevant Experience includes any or all of the following:
New Product Development
5+ years documented supervisory experience
Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office products including, specifically Microsoft Project
Ability to clearly communicate in written and verbal English
