This position is for a recognized master in Program Management, who leads medium to large-sized programs and drives strategic planning efforts. Leads contract negotiations, spearheads solutions for program problems, and manages multiple vendors and the P&L of programs.

Role Overview:

The Value Stream Product Line Leader works to create strategic cross-enterprise alignment for the delivery of the product in support of our customers. The product line VSL is accountable for:

  • The life cycle of the Product Value Stream (Generation Systems, Emergency Power, and Primary & Secondary Distribution)

  • Creation and execution of comprehensive strategies for that product aligned across functions & programs

  • Maintaining a competitive product within the market while managing risk / opportunity associated with business viability

  • Industry awareness aligning short-term initiatives with long-term customer needs

  • Leading product value stream including but not limited to performance to plan and risk / opportunity management across all programs

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring a competitive product within the market while ensuring future longevity of product line aligns with business strategy

  • Creation and execution of strategic framework for product line

  • Alignment across functional Integrate Project Team (IPT) on execution of strategic vision

  • Possesses Market space knowledge/expertise to align short term initiatives with long-term customer needs

  • Continuous assessment of future customer strategies including new market exploration

  • Cost, Quality, Producibility alignment to support customer needs

  • Continuously assessing roadmaps to support market / customer needs

  • Competitive analysis and understanding to remain ahead

  • Tactical / Execution of Product Platform

  • Creation and execution of common strategies for product across programs

  • Accountable to product line budget

  • Assess and help prioritize customer value stream product initiatives to support strategy

  • Continuous pursuit of new business / market space

  • Common approach capital investment budget authority

  • Responsible for product design, cost, build, supplier selection, producibility

  • Leading product line value stream IPT

  • Development of integrated master schedule and performance to plan (s) while managing and elevating associated risk / opportunity

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 10 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 8 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Program Management experience is preferred

  • Financial management experience preferred

  • Aerospace industry awareness experience preferred

  • In depth product knowledge required
