Position requires significant interface with site management, personnel and property personnel, as well as our Customers, in the execution of compliant life-cycle Customer Property Management processes. Incumbent will be responsible for management of the Customer Property System at our Windsor Locks, CT, Houston, TX, Rockford, IL and San Dimas, CA. locations
Incumbent will be the primary internal resource to drive operational excellence with respect to the Customer Property Management System, through leadership and participation in multi-disciplined, cross-functional teams.
Position will report directly to Associate Director ISRSS Customer Property.
Position requirements are, but not limited to, the following:
Development and implementation of responsible business unit Customer Property objectives, work plans and schedules. Communication of status of actions to internal management and customers, as necessary. Management of objectives in accordance with customer requirements, regulations and UTC/Collins policies and procedures Establishment and maintenance of key performance indicators; ensure objectives are completed in accordance with quality standards, are on time and within budget Lead Space Operations/Customer Property management council to drive continuous improvement of property-related processes across the business Leverage resources and technology to drive continuous improvement
Champion training of personnel
BA/BS degree required with 6 – 10+ years of progressive customer property management experience, at least 3 of which in a supervisory capacity.
Incumbent must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and SAP.
Expert level of knowledge of FAR, DFAR, NASA and other agency property management requirements.
National Property Management Association Certification, preferred
Possess management, delegation and leadership skills.
Ability to counsel, coach, develop and motivate personnel.
Possess team building and facilitation skills.
Possess solid communication and presentation skills.
Exhibit full use of subject standard theories, techniques, concepts and principles.
Apply solid knowledge of advanced technical aspects of subject matter.
This position requires a candidate with initiative, resourcefulness, project management skills, excellent written and oral communication capability and the willingness to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment, in support of principally Space and Military Customers.
